Kim Kardashian and her family are heading home from France after the reality star was held at gunpoint and robbed of her jewelry.
CNN reports the 35-year-old reality star was ransacked by a group of masked men disguised as police officers in her luxury hotel near the Paris’ La Madeleine church early Monday morning (Oct. 3). A total of five men entered the no name hotel's service doors and attacked the mansion's concierge around 3 a.m. local time. From there, two men were able to get to Kardashian's private apartment where a gun was pointed at her head. She was later bounded with tape and locked in a bathroom. The night guard was found in a staircase, his hands and feet also bound.
The men got away with two cell phones, 1,000 euros ($1122.90), her purse, a ring worth $4.49M and a jewelry box with other items worth $5.6M. The French Interior Ministry told reporters the men left the scene on bicycles and no weapons were fired during the incident. The businesswoman was in town with Kendall Jenner, Kourtney Kardashian and Kris Jenner for Paris Fashion Week. Guests Terrence J and Jasmine Sanders were also seen leaving the hotel with the family Monday morning. Her children, North and Saint West were not present during the robbery. After giving her statement to the police, Kardashian headed home on a private jet from Le Bourget airport.
The robbery lead to Kanye West abruptly ending his performance at New York's The Meadows Music and Arts Festival Sunday evening (Oct. 2). While performing "Heartless," the rapper told the crowd there was a "family emergency."
The investigation into the incident is ongoing. Kardashian hasn't released a statement on the robbery.
