Soulja Boy Says He’s Quitting ‘Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood’ Because It’s “Too Ratchet”
Soulja Boy is moving on from the Love & Hip Hop Hollywood . The 26-year-old rapper says he’s leaving the VH1 reality series because it’s “too ratchet” and his brand is now “too big for the show.”
The Atlanta native tweeted the announcement several hours before LHHH aired on Monday (Oct. 3), and teased another show that he has in the works.
I’ve decided to quit Love and hip hop. I feel my brand is too big for the show now. It’s too ratchet. I have my own new tv show coming soon!

According to TMZ, producers added Soulja Boy to the cast ahead of it’s September 2014 premiere. The move was a reported “last-ditch effort” to add more drama to the mix.
Last month, Soulja Boy shared a photo of a $25,000 paycheck which he said was for “one episode of LHHH.”
It looks like the money wasn’t enough to keep him on board.
