Travis Scott Preps Fashion Lovers On Big 2017 Collaboration

Travis is on a mission to be hip-hop's new fashion king. 

It looks like Travis Scott is in the runnings to become rap's next fashion king.

He is not only working on hit after hit, but the 24-year-old is also extending his brand. In an interview with Paper Magazine (Oct. 16),  the rapper shared interesting and exciting news on his next big fashion collaboration. The "Pick up The Phone" rapper explained he's only seen the samples for his unnamed collection, but didn't reveal exactly who. “I just saw the samplesf***ing crazy,” he said. "I'm happy that this company took a chance with me."

Other businesses and fashion folks that have taken a chance on the artist are Puma, BAPE Givenchy, with favorable results. Rihanna, Kanye and Kid Cudi have also served as influencers, especially Cudi. The rapper says the "Frequency" artist is one of his biggest inspirations. "He was like the guy that could rap, make a hook, and make a beat, and do a video, and show you the life," Scott said. "That's what I strive to be." Other artists who have snagged big opportunities with major brands include Future's Reebok Instapump Furys and Asap Rocky, who recently collaborated with Guess Originals.

Only time will tell what the rapper is cooking up.

Soulja Boy Says He's Influenced The New Class Of Hip-Hop

Soulja Boy's legacy is an interesting one. Speaking with MONTREALITY, the rapper broke it down while attesting much of the trends in rap today a direct lineage to his early digital practices.

During the interview, Soulja showed love for the new generation of rap, despite the culture's newfound trend of bad-mouthing hip-hop's current state.

"I feel it in my heart, man. It's a beautiful thing" starts Soulja. "Lot of careers, a lot of money, a lot of sisters, a lot of fans, a lot of new waves, new music, new vibes. That's what it was all about," he adds, acknowledging how his entry to the game broke down the barriers for the new class to follow.

"Just to be the young OG and people coming to me and be like 'Yo Soulja, man, you started this. You put us on, you did this' it feels real good" he tells MONTREALITY. "I'm proud of everybody doin' they thing because I definitely knew it was something real. I like what the young kids is doing, I like the new generation. Sh*t lit."

In being the young OG, Soulja Boy also offers some words of wisdom to new-school rappers, telling them to work hard, never get comfortable and invest their money.

The 12-minute video also sees the Atlanta-bred rapper also discussing a number of interesting topics including his love for anime, the law of attraction, how he defines romance and more. Last month, Soulja Boy inked a new deal with Entertainment One, adding his name to an already reputable roster alongside The Game, Snoop Dogg and Ghostface Killah. Prior to this deal, Soulja Boy was releasing music through his own label SODMG.

Offset Sends Regrets To Cardi B Following Their Public Split While Cardi B Defends Herself To The Public

With the adventures of Cardi-Set on a fast decline, succeeding the public announcement of the newly married couples recent split, Offset penned a sincere adjacent message to Belcalis.

Using 17-of-the- 280 characters Twitter allows, the Migos rapper inscribed a five-word message to the "Be Careful" emcee. "F**k yall I miss Cardi," he wrote in eager capitals.

Sending fans into a feeding frenzy, the 26-year-old's public message many wondering why he didn't just text her?

Reading more as a publicity stunt to promote the "Walk It Talk It" creator's first solo venture, the seemingly left-field separation arrived days after the twosome were seen canoodling on a secluded island.

Taking the opportunity to set the record straight, the Invasion of Privacy rapper addressed the accusations.

“I really don’t like how people say me and my husband—whatever he is right now to me—is doing it for publicity,” the five-time Grammy-nominated artist said. “I wouldn’t put my family in a bad name for no f**king publicity, ‘cause at the end of the day, ten years from now, my daughter, she’s gonna be looking at these type of things and she’s gonna be asking me about these type of things.”

Shutting down the speculation surrounding their relationship-status only time will tell what the future holds for Cardi B and Offset.

'Queen Sono' Will Be The First African Original Series To Stream On Netflix

Netflix caught some flack over the weekend after it was reported the streaming behemoth shelled out a smooth $100 million to keep the 90s sitcom Friends. However, staying committed to original content IOL Entertainment reports Netflix will take on it first African series.

Titled Queen Sono, actress Pearl Thusi (pictured above at the 2019 Global Citizens festival) will star in the dramedy which finds Thusi portraying a spy motivated to help the lives of her South Africans, while dealing with highs and lows of a personal relationship.

Netflix's Vice President of International Originals Kelly Luegenbiehl who's in charge of content in Europe and Africa expressed excitement over Queen Sono.

"We love the team behind the show, [and] we're passionate about coming in and doing something that feels fresh and different. It's really exciting for us," she said. "Their point of view and creating a strong female character was really something that also really drew us to it.

Erik Barmack, also with Netflix, said Queen Sono is just the first of many to depict life in Africa.

"Over time our roots will get deeper in Africa and South Africa, and we're moving pretty quickly to that now, and plan to invest more in local content," he said.
