Al Sharpton Says That Donald Trump “Can’t Deliver” As President
In an impromptu interview outside of NBC Studios in NYC with TMZ, Al Sharpton said that the new Presidential-elect Donald Trump should “saddle up,” because the civil rights activist and many others are determined to fight back.
“It’s not the results we wanted, very sad, but we’ve survived almost as bad or in some cases, worse,” he said. “How do we protect what we’ve done in the past eight years that he’s gonna come after…and how do we do what they do? Go to work and fight back. He can rest assured we are not going to take our foot off the pedal.”
When asked if he was truly going to leave the country and move to Canada like he said he would if Trump was elected, he said that it was said in jest, but he’s not going anywhere.
“Mr. Trump better saddle up,” he said. “He’s got a lot he has to deal with. He promised a wall, he promised jobs…he’s gonna have to deliver for his crowd while he fights our crowd. His crowd’ll turn on him within three months. He can’t deliver half of what he said, I guarantee it.”
