Alicia Keys Takes An Intimate Look At New York City In 'The Gospel' Short Film
The "Diary" singer returns to her native New York.
Since the release of 2012's Girl On Fire album, fans of Alicia Keys have waited patiently for the Harlemite to unleash a new set of tunes. Thankfully, the wait will finally be over on Nov. 4 when Here arrives.
In promotion of her forthcoming project, that was executive produced by Swizz Beatz, Keys premiered a new short film titled "The Gospel," on Tidal. The black-and-white video hosts nearly 23-minutes of Keys' native New York City, and is chopped into four chapters that features interviews with fellow New Yorkers and new songs from the "Diary" singer.
Directed by A.V. Rockwell, "The Gospel" previously made its debut at the Tribeca Film Festival in April 2016. The reel tells various stories "about coming of age in New York City," Keys previously said.
