The commander-in-chief had all the jokes for Michael Jordan during Tuesday’s Medal of Freedom ceremony at the White House (Nov. 22), when he poked fun at the “crying Jordan” meme and hilariously referred to the GOAT as “that ‘Space Jam’ guy.” The 53-year-old was honored alongside some of the biggest athletes and entertainers including Diana Ross, Tom Hanks and many more.

The popular meme has been used as one of the biggest expressions for disappointment and sports losses for the past two years. “He’s more than just a logo, more than just an internet meme,” Obama said of Jordan. The graphic was inspired after MJ became emotional during his Basketball Hall of Fame Induction ceremony on Sept. 11, 2009.
