Footlocker’s “Week Of Great” Is Filled With Great Kicks And Comedy


Footlocker is set to start its fifth Week Of Great starting Nov. 19 and will include a packed line-up of the most premium sneaker releases just in time for the holiday season. Sneaks like the True Blue Air Jordan 3s and the new Yeezy 350 V2s will be sold through a ticket procedure that allows you to claim your pair before the week starts, then pick them up when they release throughout the week. The ticket procedures will take place starting Monday Nov. 14 and will be available through certain stores, which can be found using the Launch Locator.

Additionally, Footlocker teamed up with some familiar faces in the sports, music and comedy world like Ja Rule, Carmelo Anthony, Kyrie Irving, Tracy Morgan and a host of other stars to star in the campaigns.

In one commercial, Tom Brady gets aggravated when kids are questioning the possibility of greatness alluding to the reaction of him winning his Super Bowl and being accused of deflating footballs. In another, Ja Rule takes the role of an Uber driver to poke fun of his prime passing before his eyes, reminding his passengers to appreciate Footlocker’s greatness as well as rate his ride five stars. Carmelo pokes some fun at himself as he claims his greatness but is swiftly discredited by two fans because he’s missing a championship ring under his belt.
