Instead Of Election Day, People Celebrated "Obama Day" With Heartfelt POTUS Memories
While President Barack Obama spent the morning of Election Day (Nov. 8) at the gym, plenty of voters took part in #ObamaDay on Twitter, reminiscing about the arguably coolest president of our lifetime.
Sparked by writer and activist April Reign, the former lawyer knows a thing or two about spreading the good word. As the creator of #OscarsSoWhite, Reign prompted many Obama fans to hit their personal archives to share their most fondest memories of the president and the rest of the first family.
A few that ticked our hearts were:
Obama "flirting" with a voter
Obama dropping knowledge to Kanye about his 2020 presidential bid
FLOTUS & POTUS repping their alma matters
The flawless evolution of Malia and Sasha
Michelle Obama slaying as the First Lady and all around role model
And this humble moment that we'll never forget.
Of course, Young Jeezy's "My President" was in full rotation for the culture.
We still have a few months with the first family, but it's still hard to say goodbye.
