Kylie Jenner Doubles Down On Being Crowned A "Self Made" Billionaire

The premise of "self-made" and its interpretation when it comes to privileged celebrities has been a huge debate. When Kylie Jenner was named Forbes' youngest self-made billionaire, debates were raised due to her timeline in the limelight and her wealthy family. The 21-year-old defended her title, explaining how she doesn't fall into any ofter category.

"There’s really no other word to use other than self-made because that is the truth," she said in Q&A with Interview Magazine's German edition. "That is the category that I fall under," she started.

She acknowledged how her fan base equated to her success but refuted claims that she used her family's money to jump-start her wildly successful Kylie Cosmetics line.

"Although, I am a special case because before I started Kylie Cosmetics, I had a huge platform and lots of fans. I did not get money from my parents past the age of 15. I used 100 percent of my own money to start the company, not a dime in my bank account is inherited… and I am very proud of that."

Earlier this month (March 5) the mother-of-one officially surpassed Mark Zuckerberg as the youngest person to reach billionaire status, when Kylie Cosmetics hit a billion dollars in revenue.

Migos And Cardi B's Security Team Sidestep Charges For Met Gala Incident

After facing potential charges for a hasty autograph incident at last year's Met Gala, Cardi B and the Migos' security team were cleared of all charges.

According to TMZ, pending charges have been dropped and the case is officially closed. The alleged victim, Daniel Szalkiewicz, refused to speak to the New York Police Department, though there's footage of Szalkiewicz's reported assault.

In since-deleted tweets, Cardi B seemingly addressed the incident, affirming she has no issue in signing autographs for over-zealous fans but took a stance against inappropriate moments.

"If you check my tag pics I take a lot of pics with fans," Cardi said to Pix 11 at the time. "Some people are not fans & sometimes I don't want no pics and I simply don't want people too close cause of [pregnant woman emoji] I don't know what are people's intentions sooo I Be careful. Why can't people respect that? [sic]"

Jay Z Proves He Might Have A Finsta Account After Meeting With Haha Davis

Remember when Jay-Z said "I'm planking on a million" or "F**k hashtags and retweets?" The legendary artist has always been hip to the world of social media, despite only having a slightly active Twitter account. He's still privy to today's social media-based superstars with a recent meeting with popular comedian Haha Davis.

Davis posted a photo of the two Thursday (March 22) during their lunch meeting, leaving his peers like Shiggy, B. Simone, DC Young Fly and Supreme Dreams congratulating him on his latest move.

Lunch with Jay Z workin man workin man yea that’s me #WorkinWorkin

Perhaps Jay does have a secret Instagram account or a finsta after all. The rapper briefly had an Instagram account in 2015 and deleted it after posting a tribute to Michael Jackson on what would've been his 57th birthday. Meek Mill later explained that the 4:44 creator had an accurate viewpoint of social media.

Jay Z once told me this social media world was created for people that wouldn't even speak if they wasn't present .... For people that was scared to approach a male/female and hold a conversation if they wanted to a number or ask to go on a date! He also said you can't speak truth on here because this is the fake people world and they gone hate you for that.

On the upside, many young creatives of color have made the platform work in their favor. Davis, who recently posted one of his hilarious in-thought videos with Will Smith, kicked off his comedy journey in 2013 on the now-defunct site, Vine. From there, he met Snoop Dogg who he cites as his mentor leading to his "Big Fella" signature flowing through Chance The Rapper's Grammy-winning project, Coloring Book.

Since then, life has been good to Davis with recent appearances at Comedy Central's Clusterfest 2018 and The BET Social Media Awards. As for Jay, life has remained lovely. On Wednesday (March 20), The Blueprint was one of 25 albums entered into the Library of Congress' National Recording Registry.
