YG Says New Mixtape ‘Red Friday’ Is Dropping Just In Time For The Holidays

YG vowed to not put out another solo mixtape, but as he previously said, some “promises R meant to be broken.” The rapper recently took to Twitter on Nov. 1, to let fans know that he was putting out one last hoorah, Red Friday, and the project would be coming out just in time for the Thanksgiving holiday.

“Black Friday ain’t black this year. I’m painted that b*tch RED! RED FRIDAY MIXTAPE 11/25.” Red Friday will be the “Bruisin'” rapper’s first tape since his 2015 project California Livin’, which was a collaborative effort with Blanco and DB Tha General.

But aside from his last mixtape announcement, YG has definitely kept his name in the mix. After dropping his second studio album, Still Brazy, the rapper has unleashed a number of singles and videos, including the visuals for his single “One Time Comin’,” in which he  powerfully addressed police brutality. Additionally, DJ Mustard announced in Aug. 2016, that he would be collaborating with the Compton native on a new project entitled 400 Summers.
