Amazon Announces A No Line, No Checkout Way Of Shopping


Imagine a store where you could just walk in, immediately pay for what you wanted, and just leave. Amazon is bringing this vision to life with their Amazon Go convenience store, opening early next year in Seattle, Washington.

After an announcement that they might open a physical grocery store as an extension of Amazon fresh service in October, they have come out with a trailer that demonstrates and explains the hassle free, line and register free experience. Using the Amazon Go app to enter, you just walk in take what you want while it automatically charges the item to your virtual cart. Using sensor fusion, deep learning algorithms, and computer vision to create “Just Walk Out Technology,” the company has found a way to create a seamless shopping experience.
