Chris Rock To ‘Blackout’ The Nation With First Standup Tour In Nine Years

It was only a matter of time before Chris Rock would his announce his plans to return to the stage. Just weeks after reaching a deal Netflix for two stand-up specials, the comedian hopped on Facebook Live to bring joy into our hearts.

Rock stood outside of the esteemed Comedy Store in Los Angeles Monday evening (Dec. 5) to introduce “The Total Blackout” tour, his first go around in nine years. “Tonight, I am announcing that I, Chris Rock, am going on tour,” Rock said. “The Total Blackout tour is coming to your town in 2017… First time in nine years, haven’t done it in awhile. Been a little busy, You know, writing Pootie Tang 3 and everything. But hey, it’s time.” The comedian’s last tour was the HBO special Kill The Messenger in 2008.

Rock ends the video with, “I can’t wait to see you b*****s!”

With a promise of all new material, Rock will deliver his take on a very insane 2016 and more. Tickets go on sale via Live Nation Dec. 7.
