Police Drag Woman Off Delta Flight
Delta Airlines is in desperate need of better PR. At the end of November, a Donald Trump supporter was banned from flying Delta for life after he was recorded being disruptive and spewing anti-Hillary Clinton remarks. On Monday (Dec. 12) Delta’s bad publicity continued when a police officer was captured dragging a woman off the flight for reportedly being disorderly.
Detroit Metropolitan Airport said the incident took place at 8AM after police were contacted about a passenger who wouldn’t acquiesce to boarding requirements.
“Delta Air Lines contacted Detroit Metropolitan Airport’s police department requesting assistance with a passenger who would not comply with boarding and baggage check procedures at a McNamara Terminal gate,” DTW said in a statement.
In a statement to CBS, Delta flight 2083 bound for San Diego was delayed due a “passenger not complying with boarding and baggage check procedures.” The woman in the above photo has yet to be formally charged, but “was arrested for violation of airport ordinances, including failure to leave the aircraft.”
After the woman’s removal, the flight continued as planned.
