Jerry Heller’s Nephew Revives ‘Straight Outta Compton’ Lawsuit
Terry Heller files documents to become executor of late uncle's will.
Jerry Heller’s nephew wants to keep his late uncle’s Straight Outta Compton lawsuit moving forward. According to TMZ, Terry Heller’s lawyers filed paperwork Tuesday (Dec. 6) to have the suit transferred to Jerry Heller’s estate.
Terry wants to be named executor of his uncle’s will so that he can continue the lawsuit on the estate's behalf.
Although much of the deceased music vet's defamation claims were dismissed by a judge in January, Terry’s legal filing could fully revive the battle.
Jerry filed a $110 million suit against the film’s producers, including Dr. Dre and Ice Cube, in October 2015. He passed away this past September.
