Kevin Durant Honors Commitment To Oklahoma City Youth With $57,000 Donation
Kevin Durant isn’t severing all ties with Oklahoma City.
Since turning to the next chapter of his career with the Golden State Warriors, the NBA All-Star recently made a $57,000 donation to Positive Tomorrows, a private school for homeless children located in his former stomping grounds.
KD’s donation joins a list of good deeds he has done for Positive Tomorrows in the past, including “personally delivering shoes to every child at Christmas, fulfilling the school’s entire Amazon Wish List, and funding a summer break camp program,” according to a statement.

“Kevin continues to be a great friend to Positive Tomorrows, and he has been instrumental in helping our school grow over the last several years,” said Susan Agel, President and Principal at Positive Tomorrows. “Still, we consistently turn away students due to a lack of space, and his generous contribution this year along with several anonymous donors will enable us to embark on our upcoming capital campaign debt-free. We are so grateful.”
Since parting ways in July, Durant will face the OKC Thunder in February 2017. He more than likely won’t be met with praise then, but he surely has earned a round of applause from the city’s future leaders today.
