Former NBA player, Lamar Odom, will return to the reality TV spotlight in a different form. People reports that the 37-year-old's road to recovery will be featured in a forthcoming series, that's yet to be titled.
Preceding this news, Odom returned to a rehab facility that reports say was the result of the death of his son. His newborn passed away from sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS) in 2006. In a past interview with website Mommy's Dirty Little Secrets, Odom's former partner, Liza Morales, spoke on the passing of their son.
"The loss was traumatic for both of us. We just dealt with it in different ways," she said. "I had to depend on my spirituality... Lamar turned to work...The loss never leaves you, but it does get better. We have pictures of Jayden around the house and the kids and I talk about him all the time. We are in a place of peace and acceptance."
Last year, Odom was rushed to the hospital after authorities found him unconscious from a drug overdose in a Las Vegas brothel. Since then, Odom continued to place his life back on track, and views his recent return to rehab as a step in the right direction.
"He wants to stay clear and focused," a source shared with People. "...He's trying to take care of himself. He really wants to be better...His friends and family encouraged him to go in and he agreed and made the decision."
