Oprah Winfrey Scores Final Interview With Michelle Obama As FLOTUS
With mere weeks left in the Obama administration, media outlets have been lined up at the door trying to score even five minutes with the president and First Lady with not a lot of luck. But when you’re Oprah Winfrey, things change.
Variety reports, the media mogul scored the final interview with Michelle Obama before she leaves 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. Partnering with CBS, the TV special titled “First Lady Michelle Obama Says Farewell to the White House — An Oprah Winfrey Special,” will first air on CBS at 8PM EST Dec. 19 and then an encore presentation on the OWN Network Dec.21
Winfrey and Obama will speak about her eight years living in the White House, what she believes her legacy will be and her plans for the future. However, the one certainty many are banking on is a memoir, or several, will most likely be written during Barack Obama’s post presidency. While many have urged FLOTUS to run for president, Obama has made it clear his wife won’t be vying for a seat in the highest office.
This conversation between Winfrey and Obama should be excellent.
