Rihanna Is So Over People Comparing 'Anti' To 'Lemonade'
Arguably, Rihanna released one of 2016's best albums with Anti, and The Recording Academy seemed to agree as the entertainer earned a smooth eight Grammy nods for her LP, including Record of The Year for "Work" featuring Drake, as well as Best Urban Contemporary Album. However, Beyonce's Lemonade, which was released in April, earned nine nominations including Album of The Year, but one member of the Navy didn't appreciate it.
"I think they didn't want her tied or passing someone else. Cough Cough Lemonade." the commentator said. Rihanna liked the picture, which led many to believe she was in agreement with the caption. Rih Rih later circled back and realized liking the photo sent the wrong message and quickly squashed whatever feud may have erupted.

"I wish y'all would drop this topic and see the bigger picture," Rihanna wrote. "We don't need to be putting black women against each other! We deserve to be celebrated and the Grammy Academy agrees."
Whether Beyonce and Rihanna have a secret rivalry or not is besides the point because both megastars are too savvy to ever let it show publicly. However, that hasn't stopped the Beyhive or the Navy from showing their allegiance to their respective queens. Doesn't matter anyway, both women will have to make room on their mantel for the new gramophone's they'll be sure to go home with.
The 59th Annual Grammy Awards will air on CBS, Sunday, February 12, 2017.
