In Order To Take A Photo With Will Smith, One Fan Loaned Him $10 For Gas Money
Will Smith's celebrity status recently came in handy at a gas station in Los Angeles, Calif. The Collateral Beauty actor appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! where he shared the story of an eager fan who was stoked to fill up Smith's tank in exchange for a memorable photo.
The 48-year-old Hollywood veteran realized that his gas tank was nearing E, and although he was 30 minutes from home, there's no way he would chance it. He pulled into a gas station, and yet again realized that he didn't have his wallet. While weighing his options -- which included calling his wife, Jada Pinkett-Smith for assistance -- he later noticed one bystander who he assumed to be a Fresh Prince fan.
"I rolled the window down and after a couple of minutes he was like 'Will?!' and I said, 'What's up?' He said, 'Hey man, can I get a picture?' I said, 'Yeah man, I need about $10,'" Smith said to the crowd's laughter. After the selfie-money-exchange, Smith asked for the man's number to reimburse him, but the kind stranger obliged that this one was on him.
