Ebony Joi Is As Rebellious As They Come On "Young & Reckless"
Ebony Joi just wants us all to have a little fun in 2017 and her single, "Young & Reckless" is just a teaser of what's to come from the budding singer.
Produced by Daniel Jones, the Philadelphia native sings sweetly about breaking free and living a carefree life. The visuals for the track play up the theme as Joi enjoys a girls night out, paired with wine, patron and selfies galore. While the video is short and straightforward, Joi is anything but. Raised in Noth Philly, Joi would absorb her musical background from her mother, who was a singer/songwriter. After learning the tricks of the trade in high school Philadelphia High School for Creative and Performing Arts and later at the Berklee College of Music, Joi scored a background vocal gig for Bilal.
But it hasn't stopped there. While working on her music, Joi spent 2016 providing sultry background vocals for Usher, Bebe Rexa and Bruno Mars. She also has worked consistently with The Roots and performed with the legendary band at former President Barack Obama's BET farewell bash. Joi's hustle is real and a true indication of a bright future.
