Maluma Makes ‘Billboard’ Chart History

Latin music wunderkind Maluma made history on Tuesday (Jan. 31), becoming the youngest artist to simultaneously hold number one and number two spots on Billboard’s Latin Airplay chart with “Sin Contrato” and the Shakira-assisted “Chantaje”.

The Colombian singer-songwriter, 23, is one of a handful of acts to achieve this, joining the ranks of Pitbull, Juan Luis Guerra, Juanes and Alejandro Fernandez.

What’s more, a little more than a year after foraying into the U.S. market, Maluma’s “Sin Contrato” – produced by Latin Grammy winner Andrés Castro – is his fifth Latin Airplay at number one. The track is also the third consecutive number one single off his second studio LP album Pretty Boy Dirty Boy.

Congrats to Maluma & Co.
