Rihanna Takes Her Role Of Global Ambassador For Education To Malawi
Rihanna displayed her Global Ambassador for Education duties when she paid a visit to Malawi to meet with educators, government officials, and schoolchildren to promote access to education for children, TMZ reports.
The Bajan superstar's eighth album, Anti, founds its way to the fifth spot on Billboard's best albums of 2016, and her venture into the fashion world has mimicked her musical success with her Puma clothing line. This new year finds RiRi achieving success on a whole new level when she made her way to Malawi, Africa as part of her ambassador role, alongside her Clara Lionel Foundation's collaboration with the Global Partnership for Education and the Global Citizens.
The partnership focuses on the promotion of access to education for children across the globe. The award-winning artist's venture was announced in September of last year, and now we see Rihanna making her way around the globe on her mission to further education.
The "Work" singer gave a statement about the program in September where she said, "Working together, I know we can amplify our efforts and ensure that millions of children gain access to education globally." In the pictures distributed by TMZ we can see Rihanna with Global Citizen CEO Hugh Evans and Julia Gillard, chair of GPE’s board of directors.
