Solange Stops By Washington D.C.'s Sankofa Bookstore To Spread Positive Vibes
It was a busy weekend for Solange in the nation's capital, as she delivered a dope performance at the Peace Ball on Thursday (Jan. 19) to celebrate the strides society has made throughout Barack Obama's term as president. The Seat At The Table artist continued to spread positivity in light of Trump's inauguration. After unexpectedly dropping into the Sankofa Bookstore & Cafe near Howard University yesterday (Jan. 22), Knowles spoke to fans and even purchased 250 books for those in attendance.
"Remember, through the midst of it all, to always look upward and forward," Solange uplifted the spirits of fans. "And that we have the power in this room, in this space, and amongst each other. Seeing all you guys here is confirmation. It’s really confirmation for me because I needed to see that and I needed to know that the work we are all doing counts."
