Casanova, Dave East, Fabolous, Young M.A And Don Q Unite For A Lyrical Massacre On “Don’t Run (Remix)”

Rising Brooklyn artist Casanova gave fans a new banger to kick off his forthcoming onslaught of new records. As his A$AP Rocky story continues to draw in new fans, Cas doubles down on the heat with a rugged remix to his street anthem, “Don’t Run.” Four of New York City’s rawest rappers, Dave East, Fabolous, Don Q, and fellow Brooklynite, Young M.A. all crash this party.

The crew constructs a downright verbal massacre as each emcee goes lyrically insane over the explosive production. Fab especially delivers some rewindabe bars: “Once you level up you gotta maneuver different/Your boy still whippin’ like he in the smoothie business/Got the Jamba Juice right here in the bomber goose/N***as tight with me cuz they baby mama loose,” raps Loso on the revamp.

In an interview with XXL, Casanova explains how he ended up making the record and what drew him to the catchy beat. “I was in the love with the beat,” he told the magazine. “I just heard it, it was hard. I didn’t know what I wanted to say. I started thinking about my watch. ‘Cause the first thing you do when you get money in the street, you get a watch. That’s like a man’s trophy. I just started thinking, somebody start to rob me for my watch I’m not with it.”
