Denzel Washington Gets Quizzed On His Lines On 'Jimmy Kimmel Live'
Even Denzel slips up sometimes.
Denzel Washington sat down with late night talk show host, Jimmy Kimmel, to play a round of "Did I Say That?" The game entailed reading lines from different scripts while being prompted to recognize which statements were said by the many characters the award-winning actor played.
Being one of the most recognizable and monumental figures in the industry, we would assume he would have a crystal clear memory of those roles that solidified him as one of the greats, but Kimmel decides to challenge him anyway.
The host started his set up by asking, "Are there any of your own films that you haven't seen?" to which Washington admitted he hasn't skipped a single one. "I had to see 'em all. Some of them I didn't want to see, or I wish I hadn't seen."
In hopes of igniting some laughs, the host tapped customers at local markets to get them to read lines from movies, and asked Washington to claim them if they were his. We've seen a similar exercise last time Samuel L. Jackson was on the same segment.
The 62-year-old is gearing up for the Academy Awards where he is up for Best Actor for his role as Troy Maxson in Fences, which is also nominated for Best Picture.
