LeBron James Strongly Disapproves Of Trade Rumors Concerning Carmelo Anthony And Kevin Love

LeBron James recently showed his disgust with a New York Daily News’ article reporting that the Cleveland Cavaliers’ general manager pushed for a trade giving up Kevin Love for the New York Knicks’ franchise player, Carmelo Anthony.

To an untrained reader, this trade claim would seem more than possible since James has gone on record saying he would take a pay cut in order to play with Dwayne Wade, Chris Paul, and Melo. Anthony also populated newspaper headlines with trade talks, and James has been very vocal about the type of team he wants, saying, “We need a f**king playmaker.” But these headlines don’t add up to a Love-for-Melo trade, at least in the eyes of James.

The Daily News journalist who covers the Knicks is well known for being openly despised by the organization, VICE Sports reports. His job has become significantly easier with the way the Knicks have been operating as a team on and off the court, but when it comes to the Cleveland Cavaliers, the writer might have entered the wrong jurisdiction, being shunned by the King himself.

When asked about the report, James was quick to express his disapproval, stating, “It’s trash, and the guy who wrote it is trash too for writing that, especially during the game like that. It’s always about outside noise, and that’s just outside noise for us. We gotta focus on what needs to be done in order for us to continue to compete for a championship.”

The King of the NBA has made it clear that he wants a playmaker on his team, but when it comes to Love being traded, he believes, “We’ve got who we’ve got. Our GM will do a great job of figuring out if we need something else, but right now, we’re in a good place.”

The journalist, Frank Isola, has a track record for reporting on a Melo trade, claiming that the Knicks were willing to undergo a three-way trade with the Boston Celtics and the Cleveland Cavaliers. This means Love would end up in Boston, but his claims were quickly shot down by James, even Love himself.
