Mexican Designer Debuts Ode To Immigrants At New York Men’s Fashion Week


Ricardo Seco has long been driven by his cultural ties, but his latest collection couldn’t be more timely.

As America grapples with Donald Trump’s xenophobic administration, the self-taught designer made a bold fashion statement with his “Juntos/Together” collection at New York Men’s Fashion Week.

Reimagining the Mexican flag with messages like “Proud Immigrant” and “Together We Are A Force” etched in all caps, the “Yo Soy México” leader drowns out the president’s ongoing talk, and subsequent executive order, on a U.S.-Mexico border wall with a much-needed call for unity.
