Phife Dawg’s Posthumous Album Will Be Titled ‘Forever’

After A Tribe Called Quest joined by Busta Rhymes and Anderson .Paak gave a moving performance to “resist” what’s going on in America at the Grammy Awards on Sunday (Feb. 12), more details have leaked out the first posthumous project for the late Phife Dawg, as next month will mark the one year anniversary since his passing. With the release of the Dwele assisted single “Wanna Dance,” the soulful track confirmed that Dawg’s album would indeed be fittingly titled, Forever.

Desha Head Taylor, Phife’s wife, said that the University of North Carolina super fan’s posthumous album will be releasing early on in 2017 during a November press conference for the debut of Malik “Phife Dawg” Taylor Way in Queens, New York,”His solo album will be out probably sometime during the first quarter of 2017. We’re working on it now. He completed his entire solo album before he transitioned, so we’re excited about releasing that.”
