SZA Releases Visual Art For Behind The Scenes Of 'CTRL'
SZA teases new tracks presumed to be from her forthcoming album.
Did SZA just pull a Beyonce and release a visual album? It's a little hard to say exactly what we should call it, but the singer-songwriter recently unveiled a new body of art along with some new music Tuesday (Feb. 7) and it has fans pretty excited for what's going to happen next.
TDE CEO Top Dawg, delivered the link to SZA's project in the early afternoon on Twitter. The link leads to a promotional website for the singer's forthcoming album CTRL. After being directed to type the title of the album, fans gain access to a video, which seems to take them behind the scenes of the making of her album. The video cuts from clips of SZA whipping her waspy locks on the roller-slating rink to old footage of her performing at the 2016 Coachella Music Festival and hanging on the beach, all while a melodic ballad plays in the background. The video also previews moments of the Z singer in the studio listening to the vocals of a uptempo R&B record. Aside from the video, fans can also click through a lookbook, which shows new merch.
The visual piece comes shortly after the singer dropped her track "Drew Barrymore," followed by the announcement of her album CTRL. SZA has yet to announce an official release date for CTRL, although rumors have suggested a number of dates that have come and gone. Nevertheless, this latest reveal definitely hints that the release date is soon approaching. Check out SZA's visual project below, and stay tuned for more updates here.
