Director Of ‘The Lion King’ Remake Eyes Beyonce To Voice Nala

According to Variety, Beyonce might lend her vocals to a different type of microphone in the near future. The film/entertainment website reports that The Lion King remake’s director, Jon Favreau, is eyeing Queen Bey to become the voice of Nala.

Although the studio’s executives are awaiting a final decision from the “All Night” singer, they plan on working around the Houstonian’s schedule, who’s pregnant with twins. During a performance at the Grammy Awards in February 2017, the glowing artist commanded the stage through minimal movements, and even made appearances across the country, as documented on her Instagram account.

The highly-decorated superstar has previous experience with voice-acting, dating back to 2013’s Epic film. Beyonce’s Queen Tara character was viewed as a Mother Nature-like figure, and she recorded a song for the movie titled “Rise Up.”

If the Lemonade artist signs on, she’ll join veteran actor James Earl Jones, who’ll reprise his role of Mufasa, and Golden Globes winner Donald Glover, who’ll take on the persona of Simba.
