DJ Khaled Discusses Infant Son Producing His LP On 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!'
Four-month-old Asahd Khaled is already doing big things.
DJ Khaled stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live! and discussed the budding music talents of his infant son, Asahd, who serves as the executive producer of his father's upcoming album. Yep, at four-months-old, baby Khaled is already well on his way to becoming a master hit-maker like his father.
"He is credited as executive producer, and his attorney has his points or royalties, everything," the social media connoisseur tells Kimmel. Asahd is the executive producer for his upcoming tenth studio album, Grateful, as well as the EP of the popular Jay Z/Beyonce/DJ Khaled collaboration, "Shining."
"He's in the studio listening to songs with me, going over the business part of it, if the vocals are right, if the beats are right, if the energy's right. Everything...he's a part of!" Khaled continued.
When asked by Kimmel how his baby boy expresses himself over a song that he likes or dislikes, Khaled says that when he notices Asahd swaying, bobbing and smiling along, the song is "a smash-hit record," and when Asahd grimaces, the track is a "serious record with substance" that's sure to be a hit.
"Believe it or not, the poops and the throw-ups are super blessings," the producer explained about the baby's bodily functions also determining hits. "Those are actually the real good ones. He actually threw up on me while I was mixing and working on 'Shining.' And when he threw up on me, that's a blessing."
DJ Khaled is clearly loving his new life as a father, and we can tell he's already passed on many keys to success. Check out the interview below.
