J. Cole Will Return To HBO With ‘4 Your Eyez Only, A Dreamville Film’

Following the release of his fourth studio album, 4 Your Eyez Only, J. Cole will return to HBO to premiere his second documentary of the same name. According to Entertainment Weekly, the reel will debut in April 2017, and receives direction from his frequent documentarian, Scott Lazer.

Fans will experience the intricate course of Cole’s album process and witness intimate interviews with residents of the South, a region that’s dear to Cole’s being since his hometown of Fayetteville, North Carolina plays an integral role in his demeanor.

Cities on the map that’ll receive a spotlight include Ferguson, Missouri, Cole’s father’s birthplace of Jonesboro, Arkansas, and Atlanta, Georgia. Topics up for discussion, as seen in the trailer below, will highlight affordable housing, feelings of abandonment and more.

J. Cole: 4 Your Eyez Only, A Dreamville Film will hit HBO on April 15 at 10 p.m. EST. This marks the Dreamville leader’s second partnership since he dropped 2016’s production, J. Cole Forest Hills Drive: Homecoming, to positive acclaim.
