JMSN Releases Soulful New Single, "Where Do U Go"

We're always here for new music from JMSN.

Soul music is no longer associated with black folks---actually it's been that way for decades now. There's a long list of folks from all colors and creeds with vocals, too, and I'm not mad about that. One soulful white guy that we love is Michigan native JMSN.

Today (March 31), the crooner releases another a new song titled "Where Do U Go." Over crying violins, JMSN unleashes his addictive and adrenaline-filled words.

"Woah, every time I'm with you baby/I don't even look at the clock/But then my mind does a full 180/When you hit that door and start to walk away/Maybe it's the way God made me/Maybe it's just a mental block/All I know is I'm gon' be waiting/But the deadbolt don't lock, oh oh," the singer/engineer sings.

The first single, "Drinkin," from his Whatever Makes U Happy album, is available on iTunes now. The full album will be released on April 28.

Cardi B's Latest Freestyle Fuels Anticipation For Sophomore Album

Cardi B is sparking more anticipation for her next album thanks to her latest freestyle. On Monday (Nov. 19), the rapper dropped some bars on Instagram to hold fans over until the release of her sophomore project.

"Just a little something something... hair on healthy," she captioned the freestyle over Cam'ron's classic track, "357." Keeping it natural and raw, the Bronx native posts up in front of Cap'n Crunch and a Costco box full of Vienna sausages to drop her freestyle about the wins and losses she's taken this year.

"I be in the mansion, you be in my mentions / I came right out the trenches to the top of the charts / Lost friends on the way / This s***t is breaking my heart / 'Bout 30 seconds in I'm like where do I start / I don't act I'm a hustler just playing my part,"  she spits.

If anything, this can be a hint to fans that she's gravitating back towards her hip-hop roots, an element heavily heard on her debut album, Invasion of Privacy. In a recent interview with Billboard, Cardi talked about her new album and curiosities about its direction.

"There's certain music that I want to do, but I feel like, [are] people interested in that? I feel like things have changed. It's more like a twerk sound going on right now," she said. "It's just like, 'Should I just do my music around that?' But I cannot just go with what's hot. I still gotta go with what I want to do."

Cardi has no problem adapting to popular music. She's worked with the likes of Selena Gomez on DJ's Snake's "Taki Taki" with Ozuna in 2018 and took her guest spots to another level in 2019 by working with Ed Sheeran ("South of The Border"), Lil Nas X ("Rodeo") and French Montana ("Writings On The Wall"). She also dropped a show-stopping video for "Press" over the summer.

But at the end of the day, Cardi's new music is coming first. "My album is on my mind 24/7,"she said. "It's practically all I'm focusing on."

Royce Da 5'9" "Black Savage" Video Is A Celebration Of Black Style

The NFL is still engulfed in the Colin Kaepernick controversy, however, the league is moving forward with its "Songs of the Season" series. Over the weekend, Royce da 5'9" released the music visuals for "Black Savage," featuring T.I., CyHi the Prynce, Sy Ari Da Kid and White Gold.

The new video takes place in a stylish mansion, where the MCs celebrate life as black men in America while showing off their black elegance by wearing sharp, two-piece suits. Fellow-Slaughterhouse member Kxng Crooked makes a cameo in the video as well.

Jay-Z and the NFL recently announced Inspire Change, a non-profit organization, back in August. One of the programs from the organization is Songs of the Season. Song of the Season will run throughout this year's NLF season and will showcase artists who will create a song for NFL promotions each month during the season.

Each song will debut during an in-game broadcast. Meek Mill, Meghan Trainor, and Rapsody were the first Inspire Change advocates this season.

It's rumored that Nicke Nine is working on his eighth studio album. Over the last few years, Royce has released some of the best music of his career, which includes albums like Layers, Book of Ryan, PRhyme, and PRhyme 2.

Premiere: Thaddeus Dixon Parts Ways With Lover In "I'm Good" Music Video

Music director/producer extraordinaire Thaddeus Dixon steps in front of the camera and microphone to share his latest single "I'm Good." With a minimal beat that eventually builds to a resounding bass pattern, Dixon reminisces on a love that could've been had the pair worked out but there's no love lost as he comes to the conclusion that parting ways is best.

The video, directed by anuthr sumbdy, shows Dixon and his ex in non-communicative scenes, presenting to the viewer that there's little to no hope that the pair will rekindle their flame. The melody was written by Dixon and produced alongside Troy Train. In a previous interview with VIBE, the Detroit native discussed his contribution to music and how he wants to elevate any genre he conquers.

"I want to be accepted and respected for producing the true sound of this genre of music. If we’re doing a Meghan Trainor record or I’m doing a pop record for Katy Perry, I want it to sound in that lane of Katy Perry, Taylor Swift, pop that’s competing against the pop producers. If I’m doing a trap record I want it to sound in the vein of a Mike WiLL Made-It or DJ Mustard," he said. "I don’t want to cheat, you know what I mean? I do feel after a while you should develop your own sound like Mustard did, but producing across all platforms I want it to be what it really is and not cheat."

Vibe out to the melody above.
