More K.Dot: Kendrick Lamar Gave Fans A Cryptic Clue
Kendrick Lamar doesn't use social media often --- it's very rare. However, when the Rosecran Avenue native shares information via social media, it's kind of a big deal. Sometime during wee hours of Thursday morning (March 23) the TDE rapper cleared his Instagram page to post a picture with the Roman Numerals "IV."
We have reason to believe that K.Dot's next album is on the way, too. Back in March, he gave an interview to the New York Times' T Magazine where he revealed that his follow-up to 2015's To Pimp A Butterfly is "very urgent."
“Been thinking about my little brothers. One little brother, he bigger than me, he’s 22. Another brother, he just turned 11. Family.” Lamar said to T Magazine. “I think now, how wayward things have gone within the past few months, my focus is ultimately going back to my community and the other communities around the world where they’re doing the groundwork. ‘To Pimp a Butterfly’ was addressing the problem. I’m in a space now where I’m not addressing the problem anymore,” he said. “We’re in a time where we exclude one major component out of this whole thing called life: God. Nobody speaks on it because it’s almost in conflict with what’s going on in the world when you talk about politics and government and the system.”
Kendrick has also been busy spitting out features at a more rapid rate lately. He showed up alongside Thundercat on "Walk On By," and recently, Mississippi natives Rae Sremmurd hinted at a collaboration with K. Dot.
Fans can catch the hip-hop legend-in-the-making as a headliner at this year's Coachella festival alongside Radiohead, Bon Iver, the xx, and others.
