David Banner Addresses FOX, CNN, & ‘Crooked Police’ On “Who Want It”

Music News

David Banner has a problem with “crooked” news outlets and police. And seemingly frustrated with the country’s current political climate, the Mississippi native teamed up with Black Thought and Watch the Duck for an explosive track, “What You Want,” calling out FOX, CNN, and the police.

This record will undoubtedly grab some one’s attention. Each verse sounds carefully thought out and delivered, as the artists vent about the recent police shootings and faulty media coverage. “FOX, CNN, and white crooked police, y’all can all eat a d**k,” Banner raps over a head-banging beat. Black Thought also pays homage to late legends Notorious B.I.G and Tupac, before discussing the “new slavery.” ATL trio, Watch the Dutch, completes the track with rock n’ roll-infused vocals on the chorus, testing anybody to mess with them.

Banner has reportedly been preparing for the release of his forthcoming sixth studio album, The God Box. While it’s unclear whether “Who Want It” will be on the album, the artist has previously dropped other tracks from the project, including “Marry Me,” featuring Rudy Currence and “My Uzi,” with assistance from Big K.R.I.T.

The God Box is slated to drop on May 19. But in the meantime, keep up with Banner on his latest track, “Who Want It” below.
