Premiere: Go Behind The Scenes With Lecrae In The Making Of "Blessings"

The Grammy Award-winning Lecrae gives us an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the making of the video.

After dropping the stunning visuals to his heartwarming single “Blessings” featuring Ty Dolla $ign, the Grammy Award-winning Lecrae gives us an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the making of the video.

In case you missed it, the video featured Houston-born rapper and Ty$ spending time a good Sunday evening eating dinner with the family. “Blessings” captured the essence of the good and wholesome family dinners and gatherings. Longtime collaborator Propaganda also made an appearance. In it, Lecrae explains the significance of “Blessings” and how it focused on the things many of us hard working folks take for granted.

“For “Blessings” we wanted to do a video that just kind of focused on the everyday things that we just take for granted,” he said. "It was just a fun time, a good time enjoying family, enjoying friends, enjoying people. It’s like going to big momma’s house when you got that feeling of nostalgia and you come to grandma’s house and just meet up with your whole family.”

The rapper and activist also went into details on what it was like to work with Ty$, and salutes him for his versatility and talent.

“Ty’s hella cool, man. As a person [he’s] dope, as an artist [he’s] amazing. He uses multiple instruments, has a lot of input and insight as far as music is concerned,” said Lecrae, who also continued his Church Clothes mixtape series in 2016. "He has a strong appreciation for good music and good singing. It’s unique to find an artist who’s reached the heights that he’s reached but he’s still very down to earth.”

“Blessings” peaked on Billboard charts at No. 28 on its Hot 100 list. His yet-to-be titled album will be coming soon.

Emotional Orange Releases Callings Of Love On "Corners Of My Mind"

Mysterious duo Emotional Oranges are taking a reflective route with "Corners Of My Mind," a gentle ode to an old love.

The track which can be found on the duo's SoundCloud page was inspired by their friend who went through a bad breakup. It seems to be the fitting track towards the end of a coming of age romance where the couple goes their separate ways. In an email to VIBE, the faceless group explained how love was the seed that planted the smooth track.

"I watched a close friend go through an awful heartbreak recently," they said. "This song was birthed by me attempting to reflect on how I would have reacted had it happened to me. The irony is as he was losing love, I was finding new love. It made the whole process of writing it all quite painful."

The LA-based pair croons about a painful love life on the soft pop beat. "It was yesterday/You couldn't look me in my eyes, and then/There was nothing more that I could say/I thought what we had was unbreakable/Guess I was wrong/Opened it up, gave you my all/I know it seemed like you weren't enough/Try to forget, peace and reset/But I can't forgive you no more."

Emotional Oranges have released just a few singles, including the bouncy bop "Motion" and "Personal" that gained fanfare online.

According to the musical pair's Twitter page, fans can expect a new EP, as well as a tour announcement and "cute merch" following "Corners Of My Mind."
