Pimp C’s Son Reportedly Stranded In Home Amid Hurricane Harvey Floods

Hurricane Harvey continues to claim the lives and the possessions of Houston residents. And as the number of deaths steadily rises, Houston rapper Doughbeezy alerted fans that the late Pimp C’s son, Lil Chad, is stranded in his grandmother’s home with his wife and an elderly neighbor.

The Instagram post was originally shared by Bun B’s wife, Angela Walls, although it has now been deleted off of her page. “Lil Chad aka Chaddy Boo is still stuck in his grandma house in 6ft of water. His phone died. He, his wife, and a 79-year-old neighbor,” the original post stated. Underneath the screenshot, which Doughbeezy reposted, the rapper also revealed that all of the musical archives belonging to hip-hop group UGK (made up of Bun B and Pimp C), were destroyed in the flood. “All archives of UGK that was left is now gone. Lil Chad is still stuck in his grandmother’s house with 6ft of water. If you have a boat or can get to them, PLEASE go help them,” he wrote on Instagram.

UGK, which was made up of members, Bun B and Pimp C, originally formed in the late 80s.Together, the duo released a number of top charting albums, including Underground Kingz and UGK 4 Life. Although losing a portion of the group’s archives is undoubtedly a great loss for the culture, what’s more important is the safety of Lil Chad and the other residents in that home.

In an effort to help his hometown, Bun B announced a telethon event to benefit survivors. A number of his famous friends will also be in attendance. The Telethon will reportedly take place on Sept. 12.

Report: Kanye West Wants To Start His Own Church

It appears Kanye West's Coachella Sunday Service show really inspired him. The rapper is reportedly looking to expand on his gospel segment by starting his own church.

According to a new report from People, Kanye is seriously considering starting his own church where he can perform new music and promote spirituality on his terms. "He has talked about starting his own church, and what exactly that would be," a source told People. "It wouldn’t be the traditional, 3-hymns-and-a-sermon thing. Instead, it would be a way to point people to Jesus through the arts and through a community of people who love and care for each other. He also wants his kids to be raised in faith, and the best way for him to do that is to live out his faith."

It doesn't stop there. Kanye is also looking to help those in need. "Say what you want about Kanye, but he really does want to help people who need support," the insider continued. "He understands brokenness and the need for healing, probably more than most people. He believes in the healing powers of music, but also believes that God can step in and heal people’s brokenness and their issues."

Kanye West kicked off his Sunday Service performance on Easter Sunday (April 21) with a number of his celebrity friends, including Chance the Rapper, Ty Dolla $ign, and Teyana Taylor. DMX also delivered a moving prayer. "He is extremely passionate about his faith and wants to share it more regularly with people,” the source added. "He spends a lot of time studying and praying, and wants to share his journey."

Of course, Kanye's plans are not official at this time, but it would be interesting to see what a church headed by Ye would look like.

Gang Leader Linked To Tupac's Murder Sentenced To 10 Years Over Drug Charge

A gang leader who is believed to be connected to Tupac's murder case is reportedly heading to prison for a long time. Darnell Brim, who was a South Side Compton Crips leader, was reportedly sentenced to 10 years in federal prison for drug distribution, TMZ reports.

Brim, received his sentencing after agents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) caught him selling crack cocaine.

Brim is believed to be one of the four men who was riding in the white Cadillac that pulled up and opened fire on Tupac and Suge Knight on Las Vegas Boulevard in 1996. The LAPD suspects Brim fired the fatal shot that killed the legendary west coast artist, but he was never charged. Tupac was pronounced dead at 4:03 pm PT on Sept. 13, 1996. Brim was reportedly shot in a drive-by shooting in Compton two days after Pac's murder, which cops believed was retaliation for the rapper's death.
