Charlamagne Tha God Crowns Fox News' Laura Ingraham Donkey Of The Day

"One thing I'm not doing in my older age is explaining myself to culturally clueless white people."

Tuesday night (Nov. 30) Vibe's  Editor-In-Chief Datwon Thomas went head-to-head with Fox News' Laura Ingraham after the the 2018 Grammy nominations were announced. For the first time in about 20 years, no white man has earned the prestigious Album of The Year nom. Ingraham invited Thomas onto her show to discuss what she perceived as the misogynistic and degrading lyrics from JAY Z and Kendrick Lamar who's albums 4:44 and DAMN respectively earned the nod.

Power 105.1's Charlamagne Tha God tuned in to see Thomas correct Ingraham on her interpretation of their lyrics and decided she rightfully earned the prestigious Donkey of The Day title. During the 14 minute dragging, Uncle Charla praised Thomas for maintaining his cool during the exchange, but admitted he wouldn't have done the same.

"One thing I'm not doing in my older age is explaining myself to culturally clueless, white people," Charlamagne said. To illustrate how degrading hip-hop is, Ingragam recited (as best she could) the lyrics to JAY Z's "Story of O.J," which according to The Breakfast Club host only proved Thomas' point.

"First off, Laura was too stupid to realize that the lyrics she decided to showcase from "The Story of O.J." are proving Hov's point just like Datwon said. JAY Z has evolved into a father, husband, businessman worth half a billion dollars, but Laura wants to paint him as a coke dealing, manager stabbing N-Word."

The Black Privilege author also wasn't too keen on Ingraham trying to make a connection between JAY Z and O.J. Simpson.

"Ms. Mayonaise listen. You know damn well Datwon was saying nothing in defense of O.J. You're just trying to demonize all black men so you take a black man that white people demonize--and rightfully so--like O.J. Simpson and make a correlation that doesn't exist between him and Hov," Charlamagne said. "Datwon is absolutely right and it's unfortunate they only picked those lyrics, but you know the picture they're trying to paint. They're trying to discredit and demonize two of our best and brightest and they just salty that they are nominated for Album of The Year and a white man isn't."

Nicki Minaj Lists Dream Collaborations "If There Is An Album"

Nicki Minaj is celebrating the release of her Fendi collaboration but while the Queens native is promoting the partnership, she's also answering questions on her suspected retirement from music. The Shade Room interviewed the "Megatron" rapper on her announcement to which Minaj said she had to re-think her decision to share that with the masses.

"When I posted that retirement tweet, I knew that I still had music that I already had recorded that was still going to come out, so the retirement was kind of talking about my album, meaning 'do I want to go back and record my fifth album?'" she noted before adding, "I always get asked to do features and I like features. So it was really about the fifth album."

In terms of new music, Minaj touched on a song she recorded with Kanye West. What started out in one direction has reportedly taken a turn, she said. “What’s funny is that I did a song with Kanye, that he now wants to transform into a gospel song," she said. "I done wrote three different verses chile, and I don’t know. We ain’t seeing eye to eye on it. I don’t know, but of course, I love and respect Kanye, and Kim, we’ll see what happens with that.”

She also mentioned collaborating with DaBaby, Gunna, and Megan Thee Stallion, plus more unexpected content. "If there's an album there would be other surprises," she said before giving a hearty laugh. Listen to the interview below.

You know when you’re a little girl and you want this big beautiful wedding, and I used to think I was one of those girls, I always wanted the fairytale. But then the things that used to matter to you don’t matter as much because I remember wanting those things with people, where real love wasn’t there. DaBaby Gives Homeless Mother $1,000

DaBaby is paying it forward for the overflow of blessings he's encountered this year. The North Carolina native made life a little bit easier for a fan who revealed she's been sleeping in her car with her toddler son. After waiting for three hours outside of his pop-up in Atlanta, Ga., Amanda Rose and her child approached the 27-year-old with hats that she sells.

Before taking a photo, the fan was overwhelmed with emotion, stating, "This is my son, we are sleeping wild bro. Thank you so much." According to the Post, the 23-year-old and son have been taking shelter in her Nissan Maxima.

The gesture arrived weeks after DaBaby's sophomore album, Kirk, landed at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart.

In a cover story with Billboard, DaBaby shared that his project was inspired by his father who recently passed away. "Trying to drop this album and dedicating it to him, the cover being a baby picture and the shit being on billboards in Times Square, being able to tell the world my story—and they’re so interested, too?" he said. "Like the whole world is interested in how influential my pops was to me. This sh*t right here been more therapeutic than anything."
