Tory Lanez Calls Himself "Top 5" After Funk Flex Freestyle
Tory Lanez paid a visit to Funkmaster Flex's radio show, where he freestyled over Nas and Braveheart's "Oochie Wally" beat. After spitting, the musician, who recently named his upcoming sophomore album Memories Don't Die, declared that he is one of the top five rappers in the game today.
"That's why I feel like I'm the most hot in the place/ A lotta ni**as sayin' they hot, but they not hot in the place," he says in the almost eight-minute freestyle. “Everything is off-top / Word to my bald spot.” The lengthy freestyle went on without a hitch, and Flex was impressed by his delivery and flow. "I'm doing this sh*t for all the people who respect the classic New York culture," he says. "’m doing this shit for all the young ni**as who don’t respect this culture because I come and I respect everything. I know where the f**k I came from, my ni**a. I respect all the legendary emcees." He shouts out Juelz Santana, Styles P and Cassidy. Before the segment ends, Tory says "top five" into the microphone. Later on Twitter, he cemented his stance. "I’m really TOP 5 In this rap sh*t, tired of ni**as thinking it’s a game," he wrote.
