Azealia Banks Calls Out Wendy Williams For Accusing Her Of Being A “Sex Worker”

Just when the drama with Azealia Banks and Remy Ma had simmered down, Wendy Williams stepped in to stir the pot. During Monday’s (Dec. 11) episode of the Wendy Williams Show, the 53-year-old talk show host spoke  on the social media feud between Banks and Remy.

While discussing Banks’s text messages to Remy about allegedly wanting “vaginal rejuvenation,” Williams implied that the Harlem rapper is actually a prostitute.

“Now we understand how she gets her money,” Williams told her audience. “She’s got no kids and she’s 26, with a vaginal rejuvenation? Wow. She works hard for her money.”

Banks took to Instagram Wednesday (Dec. 13) with a response to Williams.  “In what world is this okay,” she wrote. “Wendy Williams accuses Azealia Banks of prostitution???????????????????? This is a whole new low.. I’m legitimately in tears. This hurts the type of sh*t that becomes acceptable to say to azealia banks is nuts.”

Of course Williams is used to getting flack for her controversial comments before, particularly during her daily “Hot Topics” segment. Earlier in the month, the New Jersey native called Ashanti a “fledgling artist” for her reaction to a fan throwing “stripper” money at her during a concert.

“Take it for what it is, nobody’s buying your music,” Williams said. “Nobody cares about your music, you’ve got a beautiful body and you’re using it to make your bones.”
