TMZ reported that the tennis superstar will not be charged in the aftermath of the accident in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla. Neither Williams nor the Barson couple in the other car violated the other vehicle’s right of way. They ran into Williams’ car, and 78-year-old Jerome Barson later died from injuries sustained from the crash.

Williams says that she was caught in the middle of the intersection, and a third car- a Nissan Altima- turned in front of her as the light was turning. Police concluded the the Altima violated Williams’ right of way, but the driver of that car is not being blamed for the accident.
