Nipsey Hussle Puts Kanye West On Screen At Broccoli City Festival
While Kanye West continues to cause trouble on social media, a number of celebs are joining the movement to stand against the controversial rapper. Nipsey Hussle allotted some time out of his set at the Broccoli City Festival in Washington D.C. on Saturday (Apr. 29) to show his distaste for the rapper.
The rapper began his show by playing songs off of his latest album Victory Lap. As he reached the end of his set, he gave a special message to Yeezy without actually saying his name. "N***as our here wearing MAGA hats," he said. "I ain't feeling that s**t." As he began rapping along to his 2016 single "F**k Donald Trump" (the track originally features YG), an image of Kanye sporting his brand new Trump hat flashed on the screen behind him. Fans began to cheer in excitement and approval.
Nipsey is far from the first celeb to diss Kanye West. At Broccoli City alone, there were several jabs aimed at West's unusual change of hard and political views. Aside from the recent music festival, stars such as T.I., John Legend, Janelle Monae, and more have made statements regarding the artist. T.I. in particular, hopped on a song alongside the rapper, engaging in a debate about Ye's legacy and the impact his words have on the rest of the world.
