Premiere: Retro Starkey Lights Up The Streets With “Money Code Talk”

Music Premieres

Andre “RETRO” Starkey refuses to let his rich glow-up be overlooked. After making waves with his popular single “G Like” last year, the Detroit native made more headlines once he hit the stage for BET Matters, appeared at Hot 107.9’s Birthday Bash Block Party, and was named Atlanta’s Freshman Class list of 2017. In 2018, RETRO plans to up the ante by dropping off the deluxe version of his buzzworthy mixtape nine1.

Before the project drops next week, Retro puts us on to the ultimate code to his success with his new single “Money Code Talk.” After a calm intro with soothing synths, the Atlanta resident hits the ground running over the trap-like bass line. Throughout the song, RETRO lists a handful of code words that he attributes to his rise to the top from his girl to artists who’ve inspired him thus far like Kendrick Lamar, Boosie Badass and even Cardi B.

The Deluxe version of nine1 holds 17 tracks including “Vibe” “I Love Ny” and “Bounce 3x.” The project will hit the ‘Net on April 23 via his nine1 label. You can pre-order the album now.
