YFN Lucci Releases 4-Song EP ‘See No Evil’
YFN Lucci isn’t here to play games. Coming off the release of Ray Ray from Summerhill, the ATL native unleashed a brand new EP over the weekend titled, See No Evil.
The 4-track effort’s only feature is Ralo, who appears on the project’s intro “Pay Attention.” Other records include remixes of Drake’s “Nice For What,” Three 6 Mafia’s “Who Run It,” which Chicago’s G Herbo made popular last month.
Last month, the Wish Me Well rapper spoke to VIBE about growing up in Atlanta as well as his debut album, Ray Ray from Summerhill.
“With this album, all my music is heartfelt. It’s the same, but you can see and hear my elevation,” Lucci said to VIBE. “I’m still talking about what I been through, what I’m going through now. It’s not all about the money. I’m rapping about true stories. I’m talking about sh*t that matters, sh*t people are going to feel. On this project, it’s more on that Wish Me Well feel. I’m rapping—I’ve always rapped, but I’m singing on my hooks. But you have to listen to what I’m saying. I’m telling you about my life, my past. I made it rapping. I’m from Summerhill. We don’t make it out of there.”
Lucci also spoke about seeing Jeezy shoot music videos in his neighborhood.
“The only person that ever came down there was Jeezy,” remembers Lucci. “We saw that. That’s probably what motivated me to get out of there. Seeing him shoot videos there, he just used to ride through. We’d see the Lamb[orghini] coming through the ‘hood. We’d say, ‘That’s Jeezy with the truck.’ You know, everybody wants to do that.”
