Florida rapper Johnny Oz is living his best life as a rookie on the rise with his new single, “All Summer.”
Produced by X Ray Ali and Delade, “All Summer” toys with the rapper’s new kid status as he showcases mini-tales of his journey to the top. The tune is a refreshing take on the typical 808-dominated hip-hop tunes on the Top 40.
Fresh off a tour with YG, Chief Keef, Lil Xan, Johnny has seen success with the release of his Dead Man Walking mixtape. Speaking with VIBE, Johnny explains the positive vibes on the track.
“After constant exposure to violence and death in my city I wanted to make a record that made people feel good,” he said. As a native of Broward County (Kodak Black, Ace Hood, XXXTentacion), the rapper has seen his fair share of trauma. “It’s a song that makes people think about the good things in life instead of the negativity,” he added.
The recent college grad will continue to put on for his city this weekend with a performance at the Lit Up Music Festival. The event also features Yo Gotti, Smokepurpp, and the controversial Tekashi69.
