Bas And J. Cole Represent Dreamville "Tribe" In New Video

Dreamville artists Bas and J. Cole link up for new track and video, "Tribe."

Over a super smooth strum and shaker filled melody, Bas and J.Cole deliver "Tribe," the second single from Bas' upcoming album, Milky Way.

First announced last Thursday (Aug. 16), Bas finally released the highly anticipated collaborative track early Wednesday morning (Aug. 22). Bas takes on the first verse, where he raps about a God-sent woman that keeps him on his grind before Cole goes in on the beat, spitting rhymes on his come-up.

"God shuffled the cards, dealt me a hand with impossible odds/ Put an obstacle course up/ Look, and I conquered them all (conquered them all)," he raps.

According to Bas, the video for the feel-good track was shot in Miami's Little Haiti, after the "Boca Raton" rapper spent a week in Lagos, Nigeria picking up all the island vibes.

This is the third official collaboration between the label boss and his signee, following "Night Job," "New York Times," and "My N***a Just Made Bail." Milky Way is the followup to Bas' sophomore album, Too High To Riot, and is set to release this Friday (Aug. 24). As you wait for the album to drop, stream "Tribe" everywhere and check out the video below.

New Music Friday: PARTYNEXTDOOR, Jeezy, Jessie Reyez And More

This week has a flood of new music: PARTYNEXTDOOR has returned with his first album in four years, Jeezy surprised fans with a new release, and Knxwledge has released a new album. Look below for more on the new projects to drop this week.

PARTYNEXTDOOR – PARTYMOBILE Fans of PARTYNEXTDOOR have been waiting for years for another album – despite dropping two EPs in 2017, it's been nearly four years since a full-length project from the Canadian singer/songwriter, while other artists ate while being inspired by his sound. Today sees the release of PARTYMOBILE, his third studio album. Anchored by the single "BELIEVE IT" featuring Rihanna (who he previously wrote the "Work" for), the album also has appearances by Drake and Bad Bunny. Apple Music | TIDAL

Joyner Lucas – ADHD With the success of his Will Smith homage "Will" earning him millions of views on YouTube (and kudos from the Fresh Prince himself), Joyner Lucas plans to build on the momentum with his new album ADHD. His third album has more star power than any of his previous records: Young Thug, Chris Brown, Logic and Fabolous all make appearances and producers such as Timbaland and Boi-1da lend beats.  We'll see how his proven lyricism stands up with the expanded budget. Jeezy – Twenty/20 Pyrex Vision While the word was that Jeezy's 2019 album TM104: The Legend of the Snowman was supposed to be his last, the ATL rap legend returned today with a surprise release. Jeezy fans should be satisfied: all of the seven tracks on Twenty/20 Pyrex Vision are produced by longtime collaborator Shawty Redd. While bumping this in the whip might be difficult with the coronavirus shutdowns, this is still a welcome addition to the catalog. Apple Music | TIDAL

Jessie Reyez – BEFORE LOVE CAME TO KILL US Mortality isn’t an easy topic, but Jessie Reyez isn’t here for an easy battle. A year in the making, her debut album Before Love Came To Kill Us takes listeners on a journey of love and death, a beyond timely notion no one can ignore. Tracks like “Intruders” and the 6LACK-assisted “Imported” takes us on the edge of love’s despair while her harmonic collaborations with Eminem feels like redemption is right around the corner. The Grammy-nominated singer has come a long way since YouTube covers and her breakout single, “Figures” but luckily for us, her explorations with love are almost infinite. – Desire Thompson | Apple Music | TIDAL

Knxwledge – 1988 Some music fans may have just learned about Knxwledge in recent years, because of his album with Anderson .Paak as the duo NxWorries and his contributions to Kendrick Lamar's Grammy-winning To Pimp A Butterfly. But real heads know his work extends long beyond that: the producer has dropped hundreds of beat tapes on Bandcamp, each of them showcasing his off-kilter, soulful soundscapes. His new album 1988, according to a press release, precedes his prolific run though. "As the story is told, little baby Knx was left alone by his mother for just a few moments and crawled to a family member's vintage SP-12 sampler. When his mother returned he had already produced his first beats and nearly mastered the machine," reads a press release. "These tracks, all produced before nap time while rocking a Nike diaper, were stored over the years on floppy discs, then brought to his studio in recent months where they were finished up, mixed, and mastered." The album features .Paak, along with Durand Bernarr and Rose Gold. Apple Music | TIDAL

Little Dragon – New Me, Same Us Swedish band Little Dragon has been consistently making music for some 13 years, and they say that their sixth album, New Me, Same Us, is their "most collaborative for us yet. ... We worked hard at being honest, finding the courage to let go of our egos and be pieces of something bigger. We are all on our own personal journeys, full of change, yet still we stand united with stories we believe in, that make us who we are.” Apple Music | TIDAL

Ari Lennox – Shea Butter Baby (Remix EP) Ari Lennox's debut Shea Butter Baby was one of VIBE's favorite albums of 2019, and the singer has returned with a short EP that remixes three of its highlights. "BMO (Remix)" keeps the original while adding a feature by Doja Cat, Smino appears on "I Been," and "Facetime" has an appearance by Durand Bernarr. Apple Music | TIDAL

Usher Keeps The Party Rocking In "Don't Waste My Time" Video With Ella Mai

Ah, parties. Remember those? They're the ones that are filled to the brim and there's chill and choreographed ones like Usher's. The legendary singer has provided a celebratory visual for "Don't Waste My Time," his upbeat single with Ella Mai.

Directed by LeSean Harris, the video takes us to another time where it was safe to do signature handshakes and be two feet away from one another. While planning his stylish daytime soiree, a few notable guests arrive like Justin and King Combs, Jermaine Dupri, Evan Ross, and a bewildered Jamie Kennedy.

There's also Snoop Dogg who provides the right treats in the kitchen and Ella Mai, who brings her charming vocals to the table.

"Don't Waste Me Time" is the official first single from the artist this year since the release of his collaborative 2018 project A with Zaytoven. He's also been the guest on records like "Come Thru" with Summer Walker and "LaLaLa" with South African DJ Black Coffee.

In preparation for new music, Usher recently performed another version of "Confessions" where he sings from the perspective of a woman. “The song is about a girl cheatin’ on him and gettin’ pregnant by another man," Jermaine Dupri confirmed on Twitter. "She is then being stuck with the decision to keep or abort it. Now that he knows, Should he stay or Leave ???”

Enjoy the visuals below.

Balvin has dropped Colores and Sada Baby has dropped a new collection of unreleased songs. Read below for more.

The Weeknd – After Hours It's been four years since The Weeknd's last album Starboy, but today, he's released his fourth studio album, After Hours. With his vampire-inspired cover, it's exactly what we were excited for. Apple Music | TIDAL

J. Balvin – Colores J Balvin’s iridescent concept album Colores is anything but dull. The global phenomenon keeps a blend of vibrant dance tracks and steady love tunes with just a handful of players like the Diplo-produced “Rosa,” Mr. Eazi on “Arcoiris” and Sky on “Verde.” While Colores was Balvin’s attempt at showcasing growth in his storied career, the project will also serve as a special gift to his fans looking for sonic gems during the current pandemic. “This album was finally released because despite the circumstances (coronavirus pandemic) we stopped thinking about competing and selling,” he tells Billboard Latin. “The idea is to bring light and happiness to people right now." Apple Music | TIDAL

Sada Baby - Skuba Sada 2 After starting 2020 with his Brolik mixtape and continuing the year with more singles, Detroit's own Sada Baby has dropped Skuba Sada 2, the sequel to his 2017 project of the same name. The mixtape is a collection of recent unreleased songs; a deluxe version of the album has two extra songs, including Pressin with King Von. Apple Music | TIDAL

Guapdad 4000 - Platinum Falcon Guapdad 4000's Dior Deposits was one of the best, most colorful albums of 2019. Now, the du-rag connoisseur has dropped "Platinum Falcon," a catchy, bass-knocking number that showcases Guapdad's elastic voice. Apple Music | TIDAL

Statik Selektah and Termanology - 1982: The Quarantine With NYC on pins and needles with restaurants, bars, and entertainment venues closed because of the coronavirus, Statik Selektah and Termanology practiced some social distancing in the studio this weekend, staying in the studio to create The Quarantine. The album features Kota The Fiend, Grafh, Marlon Craft, and more. Apple Music | TIDAL

ADÉ – "Don't Cry" (feat. Trevor Jackson) ADÉ's conceptual ALWAYS SOMETHING EP from 2020 was a solid project last year, his first offering since changing his name from Phil Ade. Now, the DMV rapper/singer/songwriter has teamed up with a smooth new single featuring actor/artist Trevor Jackson. Apple Music | TIDAL
