Bas And J. Cole Represent Dreamville “Tribe” In New Video

New Releases

Over a super smooth strum and shaker filled melody, Bas and J.Cole deliver “Tribe,” the second single from Bas’ upcoming album, Milky Way.

First announced last Thursday (Aug. 16), Bas finally released the highly anticipated collaborative track early Wednesday morning (Aug. 22). Bas takes on the first verse, where he raps about a God-sent woman that keeps him on his grind before Cole goes in on the beat, spitting rhymes on his come-up.

“God shuffled the cards, dealt me a hand with impossible odds/ Put an obstacle course up/ Look, and I conquered them all (conquered them all),” he raps.

According to Bas, the video for the feel-good track was shot in Miami’s Little Haiti, after the “Boca Raton” rapper spent a week in Lagos, Nigeria picking up all the island vibes.

This is the third official collaboration between the label boss and his signee, following “Night Job,” “New York Times,” and “My N***a Just Made Bail.” Milky Way is the followup to Bas’ sophomore album, Too High To Riot, and is set to release this Friday (Aug. 24). As you wait for the album to drop, stream “Tribe” everywhere and check out the video below.
