Anderson .Paak Hints At Collaboration With Kendrick Lamar
October 4th needs to hurry up and arrive already.
Since famed R&B artist Anderson .Paak announced the completion of his upcoming album earlier this month, the Oxnard native continued to up the ante with his latest social media post. Taking to Instagram, "The Waters" singer published a photo of himself and Kendrick Lamar with the caption "October 4."
Speculation as to what this partnership will produce began to boil over with rumors of new music. After hinting at his album, it's not a far-fetched belief that the collaboration could result in a critically-acclaimed hit.
.Paak's project will follow the success of Yes Lawd!, his joint soundscape with producer Knxwledge under the moniker NxWorries. At the time of its release, VIBE described it as "any black man trying to 'make it' and find success while having to choose between the love and the passion of his life will find many of these songs relatable."

If this collaboration sees the light of day on Oct. 4, this gesture will fall in line with .Paak's quest to record new and innovative melodies. In an August 2016 VIBE cover story, the father-of-one said he hopes to always have a grumbling hunger within him to keep pushing forward with unique music.
“I’ll always have fun with it, but I don’t know if I’m always going to be hungry," he said. "If I’m not hungry, I don’t want to really put anything out. When I’m not inspired or I’m not hungry to make something fresh and new, and make something that’s really causing an impact, when I don’t have my ear to the streets anymore, I don’t see what’s the purpose of just making music, and your best years are behind you.”
