Beyoncé Pens Thank You Note To Fans For B-Day Love

News

This week marked the annual celebration of one of music’s most legendary stars — Beyoncé. The Houston native celebrated her 37th birthday Tuesday (Sept. 4) in Italy with her husband JAY-Z tagging along to take photos posted exclusively to her website. Fans around the globe showed their eternal love and support of Queen Bey with the trending hashtag #BeyDay on social media, commemorating every aspect of the Grammy Award-winning singer’s career.

Although Beyoncé rarely speaks candidly on social media, she took time Thursday (Sept. 6) to post a letter with the title “Your Bi**h at 36,” looking back at the past year of both her personal and professional life.

“At 36, I became a mother of three; I breastfed twins. I renewed vows with my husband of 10 years,” she writes. “I came back home to the stage to do Coachella, after pregnancy. Then my husband and I released our album together, Everything Is Love. And we’ve been touring with our whole family around the world and loving it.”

She continued to infuse her letter with thankfulness, writing, “This year has been monumental for me. I thank God for everyone in my life. Thank you for all the positivity and for the beautiful birthday wishes. I’m looking forward to continuing to learn from my past, living in the present, and surrendering to the future.”

This year also marks several anniversaries in Beyoncé’s music career. Twenty years ago, Destiny’s Child’s self-titled debut album was released and gave Beyoncé her first of many appearances on the R&B and pop charts. Five years later, Beyoncé dropped her solo debut Dangerously in Love which reached its fifteenth birthday in June 2018.

The mother-of-three also had an early birthday gift 20 years ago on Sept. 3, when she and her groupmates took home three Soul Train Lady of Soul Awards for Best R&B/Soul Single, Group, Band or Duo and Best R&B/Soul or Rap New Artist for their top 5 hit “No, No, No,” and Best R&B/Soul Album of the Year, Group for their eponymous debut album.

Long live Queen Bey.
