Acclaimed Music Photographer Victoria Ford Brings First Solo Art Exhibit In NYC

After being featured on Vogue.com’s Mfon: Women Photographers of the African Diaspora, critically acclaimed music photographer Victoria Ford will feature in her first solo exhibition in New York City, From the Pit.

The Washington D.C. native, who was also featured in Smithsonian Rock and Roll: Live and Unseen, will present an exhibition that will feature stunning images of her work covering live performances since 2011. Much of her work over the past seven years contains stunning images from domestic and international legends such as the late Prince, Solange, Miguel, Jeff Goldblum, The Roots, Seal, and Pharrell among many more.

“The lights, music and dance routines, all that energy was overwhelmingly beautiful to me…I wanted a way to capture that memory and each and every concert I attended that need grew stronger, my love for one fueled my love for the other,” said Ford, explaining her passion for concert photography.

The exhibition will be taking place at The Bishop Gallery in Brooklyn, NY on Sept. 1. Doors will open at 7 PM. For more of her work, peep here.
